Managing your Gmail data

How to connect Gmail to Felren, control what it is used for, revoke access, and get a copy of or delete your data. The rules behind this page are in the Google user data section of our privacy policy.

Updated 28 October 2026. ContextFlow, made by Finaimo, is now Felren. The rename does not change how your Gmail data is handled. Until the change reaches Google, your Google account and Google’s consent page may still show the app as ContextFlow, and so does a copy of the Mac app from before the rename until it updates.

Connect a Gmail account

  1. In Felren, open Settings › Sources and choose Connect Gmail (or Add account for another one).
  2. Read what Felren will do with your mail, then choose Continue to Google. Choosing Cancel connects nothing.
  3. Pick the Google account and allow read-only Gmail access. You return to Felren, and the account appears in the list.

Choose what each account is used for

Each connected account has three switches in Settings › Sources:

Turning a switch off stops new use from that point; what was already read stays until you delete your account.

Disconnect an account and revoke access

Disconnecting does not delete email Felren already read. To erase it, delete your account.

Get a copy of your data

  1. Open Settings › Privacy and choose Export my data….
  2. Choose where to save it. Felren downloads a ZIP file with one JSON file for each kind of data it keeps for your account: your messages and email (decrypted), the people you talk to, your rings and summaries, your purchases and buyer facts, and your settings. A README.txt inside explains every file.

The export leaves out your Google tokens and other credentials, and our security audit log. You can export once a day.
